With all due respect, the teams of Wales and Ireland are the lowest quality teams ive seen these nations produce in the last 30 years.
Republic of Ireland used to have established premier league players like Robbie Keane, Roy Keane, Coleman (peak version), Given etc. The players they have now are simply nowhere near that level. Parrott would be like Adam Armstrong in the prem and never replicate his form from weaker leagues. The centre midfield has two average championship players in it. Ogbene was sold by Ipswich for not cutting it there. You would have to say Collins, O brien and Kelleher are the only players of premier league level but are in positions where they are limited to how they can impact the match.
Wales have a few more average premier league players but still half prem half championship. None of the players are above average though, Wilson has improved the last few seasons. But these arent players like Bale, Ramsey, Giggs, Bellamy, Rush.
When all these managers are saying we will grow from this. I dont think that serves a purpose, they need better talent to come through for sure.
