Today’s Football 25/26 Season

they’ve gone backwards.

they wanted levy out as they said. they didn’t spend enough. unless i’m on crack they’ve spent loads?
and have again in summer
Once the example was set that the manager was inconsequential, then the players are looking to someone else to respect and follow.

It's similar to the notts forest fiasco.

Players can only have one gaffer, one guv'nor, one boss, answer to one voice. Once that is undermined then it's lost.

It's definitely been romanticised to a certain extent, but I also think the supporters played a role in the eventual survival
It has but at the same time I don't think anyone would ever want to be in that position ever again. It took so much out of the fanbase- I definitley wasn't the only one staying up all night dreading the results of Leicester, Burnley etc.

Without the support from the fans I think we would've gone. Spurs are in a similar boat but their fans seemingly don't have that stubborn belief/the ability to seperate their greivances from supporting the team on the pitch.

Moshiri and the Friedkins never undermined the manager. In that respect better. Spurs have capitalised on a new stadium and filled it with events besides football. Their embarrassment of riches they can pay for, for now. How they transition a load out of the door and keep room for new signings will tell the tale.

Commentator summary - “An engaging final to this point”.

Not allowed to say that it’s been utter bilge.
Sad that football today is just a product and no longer a spectacle.
Greedy companies spinning tosh just to tout a few more subscriptions from far flung corners of the globe.
It's like a modern day retelling of the emperor's new clothes.
