It's the consequences I suppose. When you're just inside the box and there are a number of players between you and the goal, the referee's bar for a penalty is higher than when you're clean through. That said, Atwell is a crap referee who loves being centre of attention.

The bar shouldn't be higher though mate. A fouls a foul, whether it's committed in the centre circle or the 18 yard box. They differentiate all the time it really p! ££#& me off.
