Today’s Football 25/26 Season

The benefit of not playing in the league 3 days before and after nearly every game, and preparing for this game alone, yes.
Not being yet match fit for season nor having competitive matches for months equates to a benefit in your eyes, got it. Big clubs will soon scrap pre-season altogether and schedule matches further apart to gain an edge

Mate listen/read:
They've been training for a month and a bit, probably pretty intensively, and can prepare for a "1 game every 2 weeks" schedule appropriately. They're not sleeping until midnight of the game, you know? In fact, every one of their opponents have said the same, the last one being Chivu. No idea why you'd think that they're unfit and can't play or prepare in that month and a half, they don't close up shop and ban everyone from training, it's just not how the real world works. They've had about a month and a half, very well documented, to prepare for 4 games (and 1 friendly before them). Their league form is usually not great when they're in the tournaments while actively playing league football too, to no surprise.

It's a great achievement and I love to see what they're doing, everyone loves a good underdog story, but if you think them being literally fresh and with no fatigue for every game doesn't play a part in it I don't know what to say, given every professional shares this every time they play.

Here's a squawka article saying it's a benefit too, in case what I'm saying is incomprehensible as it apparently usually is.
