On MOTD, they never focused on it, but Newcastle's captain ran up to the ref. indicating a card motion, but wasn't booked. I am unable to find it in the rules, that a captain can do that and not get booked. Just like Van Dijk's clapping a refs./VAR decision and not getting booked. It highlights certain clubs are allowed to do things other clubs players are booked for.

I think it's just inconsistent refereeing to be fair
