This “rivalry” the TV people are trying to whip up around the Leeds/Mancs game.
It has no basis in football as both teams have never been involved in a head to head title battle as I recall nor been involved in a Cup Final together.
And Leeds have spent much of the last 30 years outside the PL.
I know Leeds fans obsess over Manchester United but I have never met a Manc who reciprocates that obsession.
To me, this “rivalry” exists only in Leeds heads.
It has no basis in football as both teams have never been involved in a head to head title battle as I recall nor been involved in a Cup Final together.
And Leeds have spent much of the last 30 years outside the PL.

I would like them both to lose but as I would love to see Leeds dragged into a (losing) relegation fight I am rooting for the Mancs.
