Should be an automatic red card for me, really puts players welfare at risk if it becomes very common, needs stamping out smartish.

For every rule change, (eg stop the game for a "head injury") clubs will find a way to circumnavigate them to their advantage. Occasionally, and thankfully today, joyously, it backfires.
The player successfully stopped the break and jumped up quickly in an attempt to show he wasn't injured and wouldn't need to go off. The ref thought otherwise.

Amazingly they’re still in touch distance with both Wolves and Forest coming up

Their supporters need to get behind the team in siege mode I think

We’ve dragged some awful Everton sides over the line in recent years, the Ammers need to do similar
