Of course. But no one is seriously arguing now that an English League title with the governance issues the PL has (holding an axe over certain clubs' heads) and expecting a level playing field with vast sums of cash 2 or so clubs have has not degraded the title; nor can anyone look at the EC/CL/Whatever that kin mess is now be seen as anything like the prestigious competition it was 10-20 years ago.

Football needs cleansing from top to bottom.

We could do with a new round of football hooliganism to clear the decks, tbh...obviously without the Kopite level of murder that goes with it.
