I've always said that:I know what you mean but there needs to be a yardstick, start giving goals that are 'marginally ' offside and you open a bigger can of worms than we have already.
I've always said that:
a) you shouldn't ever be offside for an arm, and..
b) the margin needs to be far wider in general. As long as the attacker's body is mostly parallel with the last defender they shouldn't be called back for a toe or a knee being slightly beyond the line. I realise that can still be tricky to call those, but the semi-automatic offside system does exist so..
I've seen offsides called for elbows mate so I dunno...….i thought you could only be measured with parts of your body you can score a goal with, so your arm/hand doesn’t count.
