They’ve done it up a bit, possibly Kingstonian gave them some dough; new fencing, new food outlet, outdoor decking area, all looking good. The pitch (sloping both ways) will be a bit of an issue if they get much further up the league.

In this months (August edition, which came out earlier in July) there is a short interesting piece on non league Football In Merseyside which focuses primarily on Marine. Nothing particularly new for those following the club / game up there but good all the same.

Halcyon days! My team played and won a cup final at that ground. On the flip side, I came away from more than one game on the adjacent fields with dog turd plastered all over my kit. I hope it’s better for the kids playing there nowadays…!

I suspect not. Most of the week it will just be a lovely open space for the neighbourhood (and all their canine pals!)
