I dont like soft penalties but I'm not sure the defender should get the benefit of the doubt when they go to ground. That's not good defending.

I didn't say there wasn't contact, just not from Mitoma It was a silly challenge but once he knew that he made sure his legs didn't touch Anderson who then out his leg into him and dived. Anderson should have been booked in my opinion but I suppose it's hard to prove he did it deliberately.

Id give benefit to the attacker when the defender is sliding in like that with his back to the ball.

Not for me, you can see Anderson put his foot into Mitoma. He had no need to do that, he could have just left him to slide past him but he chose to move his foot into his path

Personally I'd hate to see that be given. Far too soft for a PK.
