I think it is pretty agreeable to say it's a little odd.

I can't see him moving abroad and he's definitely got 4-5 more years in him easily, barring injury.

So he'll easily get the record probably in season 2025/26 - so three more full seasons after this one.

I still have the pathetically nonsensical dream of the likes of Arsenal and Spurs "not getting too far away from Everton", then snapping back to reality where we're relegation favourites and even if we stay up we're many years away from getting close to them - and that's if we're incredibly lucky.
