If we had a decent directional process at boardroom level, then I think Silva would have done a good job here. Wrong time, wrong circumstances for him.

I would say 'Get Silva in' now as well, but only if I had confidence in the situation at club level, which I don't. He has found a club that suits him and good luck to him, if in a few years it turns up that it is the right match I would be up for that.

When he first went in there, had a fully fit squad, he won his first five games. Soon as the injuries started it's all gone wrong for him. Yes I think he could do will being a bit less stubborn with his playing style ie a bit less possession based and a bit more direct at times, but I also don't think that wider Chelsea squad is quite as good some think. there is a need for an obvious clear out there with too many older players and guys who just are not quite up to what Chelsea want. They also need some of their injured players back asap.
