I think they’ve actually fooked VAR tonight, I don’t think they can justify that call from the evidence - there’s just no way they couldn’t see nunes was onside, and the absolute clap trap about not having a definitive camera angle has been put to bed already - it’s despicable.
Just watching that again in slow motion
When he takes the corner, the first moment it hits someone (can't tell if it's a rs or a Wolves player) Nunes is in an offside position. But that header is then headed on further by Chan and by this point he's not offside.
So in that first phase of play when the initial contact is made in the box, is he offside?
Then when the 2nd phase of play happens and they try and play the ball across to Toti the first time, he's in an offside position. It gets blocked then drilled towards goal again where he scores and he's not offside. So again, can the linesman flag for offside for that phase of play?
Lastly and I think you mentioned it, the linesman doesn't raise his flag until the referee seems to gesture to him to raise his flag. Hiw can the referee make that referral fro where he is?
