What a time to be a Brentford fan. Excellent club. Hard not to be envious!

Remember being referred to as “best of the rest” for long spells under Moyes. Since then the inevitable happened and the likes of city and spurs jumped over us. I’m sure Newcastle will also soon be out of sight. Hard pill to swallow though that we are now being overtaken by Brighton and Brentford. Fair play to both clubs.

They’ve had a lucky run Liverpool, they just seem to senselessly launch balls into the box and hope one bobbles their way. They’re a mile away from the team in 17/18 and 18/19 that would destroy teams on the counter with link up play. This lot just launch it into the mixer and start pushing. It worked against Spurs and City thanks to some incompetent defending of the high ball but Leicester should have put this lot away easily. They give up so many easy chances with the high line as well, only a matter of time before someone punished it.

They’re about 6 points higher than they should be Liverpool, very very average footballing team with and without the ball.
