Their squad needs an overhaul. The position they probably didn’t need a new player in was an attacker. They need at least two good centre mids and another good centre back.
Their owners need to spend serious money or the cult will turn on them, (as will the local red rag).
Can see them selling before the summer.

They have about five centre backs and amongst them the God of centre backs ST Virgil, every time they lose or draw, the media along with half their ex players wheel out this excuse. They have just been bullied in the first half, a team of giants have been bullied.

I think their philosophy is that they'll be able to outscore teams, but most fans (including sensible RS) realised that their industrious midfield was pivotal to this.

It was never flash or overly technical, but rather did the dog-work and got the ball forward quickly; equally, it shielded their fabled defence from having to defend.

They've let their midfield age and lose that intensity: strength and acceleration. Without that pressing, they aren't doing much, as their front line aren't doing it either.

This means their defence actually has to do stuff, and we've now seen their true colours. Gakpo will improve them when they're missing Jota and Diaz...

... but they're still going to have the same old problems with Keita's Weetabix body, the ageing trio and having to rely on Elliot and Carvalho, who are too lightweight.

Nunez may have lots of attributes that Klopp likes (speed, power etc.,), although the fact his shooting is laughable means they're going to struggle.
