On as serious note - he's 21, let the lad develop. He might not be that great in/for England right now and when/if he comes back and has a few games with no scoring people will bully him out of the game.

I think if he's not close to the England set up by 2024 or so with a view to making the 2026 squad he could well pick one of the others who will most likely have him in the picture.

Unreal the talent that has come through that academy in recent years. I know they’ll be at the head of the queue at a massive talent pool, but there’s still some great management gone on to have brought so many players through at or near the top level in such a short time.

Sorry yeah, wasn’t very clear from the post I was responding to was it!! That’ll teach me to get all excited.

They’ve got a good 4 or 5 from the academy in and around their first team, the likes of Nelson and Maitland Niles that will probably have a decent level career and then the likes of this boy and no doubt others who might be knocking on the door themselves, soon.

Exciting times to be a Gooner. Might search my family tree in case there’s a bit of North London in there somewhere…
