Forgive the cynical me, but is it part of a team's game plan, when the opposition take a corner and it is cleared but to an opposition player on the half-way line, one of the defenders is instructed (if feeling any contact with an opposition player in the area) to drop like a sniper's target and act dead until the ref stops play and calls on the trainer? I know it sounds far-fetched but it just happened in the Chelsea/Bournemouth game.
