Actually I would quibble Pope in that list. He's looked very shaky for England in the past. He was unable to participate in the build up play like Pickford does. It caused a bit of panic in the back line

Pope is a very sound shot stopper who could make five or six good saves in a match without screwing up. Yes you can press him but I'd rather have a shakier shot stopper. And Pickford's distribution is well overrated anyway, he's really not that amazing under pressure.

You can argue from a fan point of view that you don't believe they should be sending off offenses but the fact we lost the appeal on it means that it wasn't the wrong call, the referee changed his decision on the day and then an appeals panel at the FA backed him up that it was a correct decision.
