They need to start using VAR to punish the players who fake head injuries to stop the game. The more they do it the less likely a referee will stop the game instantly if there was something genuinely wrong.

I still think the simple solution is that if the game stops for you, you’re either subbed off immediately or you have to leave the pitch for a period of time to recover. You’re too hurt to get up, something should be wrong enough that you can’t immediately continue anyways.
