I have no issue with him being lenient on cards for soft fouls. I wish more refs would do the same

But both teams have been a joke with how they have constantly surrounded him. He shouldn't tolerate that rubbish and should start handing out cards for that, but not for soft free kicks

No problem with soft fouls going unpunished, it's the cynical ones that clearly hinder the chance for other team to build an attack. The Prem especially is probably the most lenient league in terms of dishing out cards. IMO there's nowhere near enough punishment of those types of cynical fouls in terms of bookings.
