City are an odd team at the minute. Something hasnt seemed right with them this season. Whether it’s guardiola or the players or both I don’t know. But the cancelo thing was telling, one of city’s better players the last couple of years bombed out to Bayern after falling out with pep. I’d suspect he isn’t the only one.

When will the short goal kick trend die. I get the point if you're trying to draw a team out of a defensive block but the slavish adherence to it is counter productive.
City are absolutely fixated by it, Arsenal, Everton until yesterday. It never seems to lead to a goal, at best it leads to a slow build towards the opponents half.
Not saying go back to 90s automatic hoof every time but surely now that attacking players have adapted the way they press intelligent managers would mix it up a bit more?

True, but when it isn't working they don't do anything to try and change it. City have dropped loads of points (relatively obviously) this season but never try anything different.
