It hit his elbow and then he grabbed his face.

Great look for MLS to have their blood money satellite club that still plays in a baseball stadium after 7 years (and no solution in sight) lifting the championship trophy. They must be very pleased.
I saw on the replay that he got his hands up in time, but still very bad look for Portland.

MLS is probably happy that a major market club won, stadium or not.

They’re happy because their main business model is pump and dump. Get a new investor in a new city, help them get a lavish new ground with little to no personal investment, hype them up for a little while, and then move on to the next city. It happened in Atlanta, it happened in Orlando, it happened in Cincinnati, it’s probably just happened in Austin, and now they get another shot at it in New York.

MLS has way too many clubs but the expansion fee-new stadium cycle is just too lucrative. They’ll ride this rocket as long as they can.

Good luck building a soccer stadium in NYC.

Yankees and Mets built stadiums and the cost for each build was around $1.5 billion.

NY Giants/Jets new stadium is across the Hudson river in New Jersey, that stadium was around $700 million cheaper than if they built it in one of the five boroughs of NYC.

Teams in other Cities that built brand new baseball stadiums the last few seasons did them for around $400-$500 million.

Yankees are a baseball franchise worth over $4 billion dollars and they equally share NYFC with a Petro Dollar state and both feel no reason to dip into their vast fortunes to overpay by a stupid amount to build a purpose built soccer stadium.

Knicks play in a crumbling dump of Madison Square Garden right in the middle of midtown Manhattan, the price for rebuilding the Garden would be astronomical, it's why nobody will buy the Knicks from James Dolan for around $2 billion because you'll need another $2 billion to rebuild the Garden.

Greenwood is better than Sancho also
Tbh, I think only time will tell. I've seen enough of Sancho to know he's got the ability to succeed. Remains to be seen if he's got the head and the heart. Far too soon the write him off.
As for Utd in general, no quick fix there. Norwich deserved a draw at the very least.

Billy Gilmour looks very good.

MLS cup today. Idiot Portland fans just threw beer cans at NYC players after conceding. Looked like it hit one of New York’s players in the face. Should be an assault charge if they find who threw it.
I've been at an NY Derby at Red Bull Arena where the whole NYC fans section were launching projectiles onto the pitch including full beer cans. Also throwing punches at nearby home fans as they left their seats to leave the ground. Makes me laugh how such new teams can have hooligan fans already and what motivates the fans to act like that.

He was no worse than any of Man U's attacking players yesterday. Rashford was the worst, and Ronaldo was saved by that ridiculous penalty. Sancho is having some fitness issues as well as getting used to a new team and league. He'll be fine. Already shown signs of improvement. People just see him being subbed as a reason to launch into him straight away without thinking objectively.

Both Greenwood and Sancho are ballers. If one is better that is not much of a stick to beat the other with.

Said many times...he's gone from a side where he's there to just attack, amazing on a counter, to one that is supposed to dominate. His adaptation is basically being more involved in the game. He waits for the ball rather than engaging.

You can see the difference in Rashford and Greenwood who actively seek the ball. Or even see our own Gray who is very economical in an attacking sense

Doesn't really suit United style at the moment - possibly more Liverpool and Chelsea where the front 3 work hard but are predominantly a front 3 attacking.

Think he'll be decent. But nowhere near levels of Sterling, Foden, Grealish just as examples cos I think it's too limited in one area (passing, intelligence) and not active enough in others. Could get away with it in Germany but not here

Reminds me of Pepe for arsenal

Ballers.... ?

VAR still makes no sense. McNeil just kicked Dawson in the box clear as day and not a penalty. I get the ball was running out but at the time of contact it’s still in play.
