That seems to have been conveniently overlooked.
In criminal law you need to mentally intend to commit murder to be guilty of murder.
However, if you create the circumstances where the person dies but don't fully think through how the death will occurr ( i,e you poison a drinking source)- you are deemed to intend the murder even if you didn't think through exactly how it would happen.
Equally, Salah headed the ball against his own arm so should be deemed to responsible for the consequences of that- he should be deemed to have intended the handball- even if he didn't predict how the ball would hit his arm.
