They missed their best centre back for the entirety of last season. Alisson gets injured loads as well.

That was a one off due to a freak accident. The likes of De Bruyne Kante Stones/Laporte Kovacic Gundogan miss periods of games every season all the time due to consistent niggling injuries they pick up, same when Aguero and Hazard were playing.

Salah Mane Alexander Arnold Fabinho Henderson Robertson just don’t get these. They’re available most games. Firmino has finally picked up a strain after about 4 seasons of barley ever being out.

Liverpool could easily win the league in the same season Benitez succesfully charts our course to relegation and the championship.

Tbh I'd rather be top four than where we are now. I wish we had David Moyes as our manager instead of that fat Spanish waiter who is busy impersonating a football manager atm.

Don’t know you work out that they’re “clear” favourites when Big Red have a better goal difference than them by 10 and City lost 2-0 at home to Palace the other week.
Maybe because all that said City are still a point ahead of them. Also Liverpool have to got to the Etihad and Stamford bridge.

All this talk about the board being to blame misses the mark by a distance for me.

At Liverpool before he left it was all the American owners fault not his It's always the same when Benitez is struggling. At Newcastle it's tough so let's blame the chairman etc - as if Rafä was shocked at who the owner was when he took the job was still the owner a little later on. And now it's going exactly the same here.

Why oh why does everyone want to give Benitez a free ride?

It's not as if David Moyes has truly enlightened owners at West Ham with David Sullivan and David Gold is it?

They’re 1 point ahead of them with 24 games to go. That doesn’t constitute being clear favourites to me. Liverpool always win at Stamford Bridge too.
Yeah I get that I don’t think they are clear favourites myself. I still think they are the best side in the league. If they went out and got a goal scorer in January they would probably run away with it.

No clear favourites for me, City have proved far too fallible in the past to be a thought of as well ahead of Liverpool. For me Klopp has a great chance of winning the league in the same season Benitez guides us to relegation.
