Today’s Football 2021/22 Season

Watching Brighton tonight. Don’t see them often but they do play the type of football I’d like to see us play. It’s got to be the manager, right?

Yep my Bavarian friend said the Bavarian state had tightened the covid rules this week so probably be like this for a few more weeks at least. Not sure what he German federal rules are, or other states, so perhaps more sporting events will be like this too.

Supposed to be going to Munich in late February to see Wolf Alice, steeling ourselves for a reschedule...

I suspect they may go even harder with their restrictions next week, so who knows by February.

I was going to go for a week sometime before Xmas but that was cancelled on Wednesday so hopefully I can go sometime early next year but who knows (no pun intended).

Luckily it was a work trip so I didn't have to worry about hotel and flight refunds etc

If Docuoure and Gray are fit then we might have a chance. They play a ridiculously high line that can be got at quite easily if teams just don’t panic. Brighton and West Ham were getting through it easily so were Milan. If we sit deep and have the weapons to play on the counter there’s no reason we can’t give them a game.

West Ham and Brighton are generally set up better than we are unfortunately. No DCL, no out ball, very little chance.

Italy may have sneakily become my favorite league to watch. It's not the PL but still loads of quality and since Juve have dropped off it is damn competitive.

Genuinely wouldnt have minded Everton giving him a decent contract and letting him bring his brand of football to Everton.

Whilst you would love that to be the case so you could kiss Klopp’s hole a bit more, we’ve actually fared alright against them recently even when they’ve been better and we’ve been worse.

its been the most entertaining league for a few years now . It’s obviously not the same as it’s late 80’s to early 2000’s heyday but some very entertaining teams in the league . Juve dropping off has defo helped matters

If the Bavarian model is the same as neighbouring Czech then the worst of the wave should have passed by then, but restrictions will be very slow to be eased.

We have a school ceremony every February and it's likelihood of happening was discussed in a recent meeting. Also, Wolf Alice, nice one.
