Good performance tonight from Ireland against a pretty abject Oman side. Shane Duffy was excellent as he has been since the start of the season for Brighton.

Callum Robinson with a hatrick tonight to add to his two on Saturday. Big test next month against Portugal - hopefully Seamus is back available ?.

Makings of a good side with some strength in depth in most areas. Midfield still a bit of a worry, good sides will tear it apart I fear but we're starting to convert all the chances we've been creating.

Goalkeeping position looks solid for the next decade at least.

Yeah its weird we havent had any decent recruits from Irish youth football for ages. We had loads during the 90's and early 2000's like Dunne, Duffy even Karl Sheppard.
