By the same token we've all seen what happens when a normal person tries to play professional football. They're in their own world because they are literally in their own world.

A very large majority of pro footballers are good people too. Even ones people cry about usually are. People get mad at Messi for example but Messi is more than entitled to ask to be paid what he's worth. He didn't mismanage Barca and yet he gets blamed. Iwobi is another who whatever you think of his ability hasn't really done anything to be criticized for what he does outside the pitch.

Lots of people complain about it and let's be honest it comes from a place of jealousy and contempt.

That is relevant to the rest. It just is. If you can't figure that out it isn't my problem. But the jealousy stems from that. It's blindingly obvious.

Giving the captain a yellow for dissent 20 minutes in is pretty ridiculous. To then send that player off for an accidental and not particularly forceful hit to the head on a reasonably contested header is completely ludicrous.

I don't like being the ref ruined the spectacle guy because it isn't their job to make the game entertaining but on this occasion he's really crapped it.
