But not demonstrably better? Better Xg in the modern world, but Greaves quite simply scored more goals.

He played 150+ more top flight games than Dixie, and only outscored him by 47 goals - had we not been relegated that one season during his career it would be a lot closer.

Ifs, maybe. Point I made that there isnt a demonstrably better striker than Greaves. Sure, there are ones who were near or at his level, but not demonstrably better.

edit. The reason I perked up was Souness saying "British striker", so I was assuming there was some Welsh or Scottish player that I had forgotten.
