Roma is that kind of team that spent entirety of their history around top of Italian football, but only 3 league titles to show off. Usually seen in knockouts of some European competitions but never to make that final step.

Perennial "almost" club

Italy is also dominated in every way (politically, economically, in sport) by rich North, so hard for any club not situated there to compete against Northern powerhouses.

Feyenoord's striker is an invisible man

Feyenoord and the Dutch league really is his level, and even that is quite stretching it with Feyenoord as his club. Really can't see him being as succesful next season, as he was this.
