Personally think Gerarrd has messed up here. In his search for attention he's put massive pressure on the villa players to get a result. He should of been deflecting attention instead of turning the title battle into the Steven Gerrard show.

Hopefully city and spurs are both 3 nil up after 30 mins so Super duper setup Sunday is a proper anticlimax.
Really, really hope City don't kack it. They win this game very easily 99/100 times. Thankfully they ought to put Villa to the sword without too much drama. Going for a final day thrashing of 5-0 and a victory worthy of becoming Champions.

…shout out for East Villa winning the Liverpool Challenge Trophy yesterday. That club and a few others have been the backbone of the Liverpool Amature Football scene for many decades, giving local lads an opportunity to play at a high standard in an atmosphere where values are just as important as performance.
Special mention for the club stalwart Jimmy Morrison, a great Evertonian, without the likes of him the local game would have drifted into obscurity. Amazing time & dedication over many years, it was fitting the players insisted he receive the trophy.
Those are the people who deserve national honours.
