I can see Liverpool beating that against Villarreal

Villarreal are one of the best defensive teams in Europe at the moment. I think Liverpool will edge it but I can't see them walking it.

They certainly won't be beating any goal scoring records.

Every day I'm more and more in favor of letting the clubs wanting a Super League go and rebuilding the leagues and European competitions with those that are left.

That would in effect make the premier League the championship, all of the best players would leave for the super League and all of the sponsors would go with them. Revenues would have overnight as would the quality of football.

It wouldn't be that drastic because the top level would be 20 or so teams but represent all of Europe. So a lot of talent wouldn't fit and would be left to the remaining domestic leagues. Frankly our squad now wouldn't be necessarily any different.
