Is it just my Toffee tinted glasses or when the ref walked over, was the VAR screen paused on the point the ball connected with James’ arm rather than actually playing the video to show context?

To be honest the bigger issue with the refereeing here is the cowardly failure to book salah for kicking the ball away as a clear act of dissent a good 2 seconds after whistle.

What happens if he gets a yellow now, should be off but a decision that would have been made 99% of the time saves him.

Chelsea put a few in agaisnt any other team with the positions they had in the first half, but if you don’t kill this lot when you have the chance they are the Devil’s team. They’ve created absolutely f all that half and yet have been handed three points. Unbelievable. They didn’t look like scoring if they played all day. They are an absolute stain on football.
