They took 1000 seats out to do it, so they could make more ad revenue.

Modern football stinks
Nope they did it because they didn't want to see the empty batches of seats, so taking the front couple of rows out makes it look more closer to full, but today could still see empty seats behind the goals and side of the pitch, just not as much as usual. thanks to the rows making way.

They fix their revenue anyway commercially, so you're telling me to make the signage bigger they get more revenue :D, more fake revenue.

What i find astounding is they took a 1 to 2 k seats out for advertising but they still have the same 54k sellout. :D

Everything turnover based with that club is made up.

Saying “nope” followed by nonsense…

They’re trying to increase the capacity of the stadium 60,000. They aren’t really arsed about a few empty seats on the front row, anyway the front row isn’t normally the issue as they are the popular seats. They had to move season ticket holders during the process.

The double height advertising is clearly more impactful, which is the whole point of it. See the post I quoted, saying it was distracting.

Is that the spin from Bluemoon, everyone knows why they did it and not for ad revenue, if that was the case every other club in Europe would be doing it to boost revenue, does a club owned by a oil state that gets 250 million a year from their owner really need a tiny bit ad revenue that would cost about 2 days of KDB's annual wage. :D

The ownership are sick of seeing the empty seats on the bottom tier and especially hate the etihad being called the emptyhad, so they devised taking 2 rows of seats at the front so lessen the impact of empty seats being seen on TV, they complained to a tv channel because an ex footballer mentioned empty seats and called it the emptyhad on live tv in the new year, they also tell tv companies not so have the camera showing the top tiers of the east and south stand, why is that. :D

That's why this summer they took out the front rows of seats and moved ticket holders in the upper east and south stand to the lower east and north stand, where the tv camera point.

Ahh yes increasing capacity to 60k with about 8k tickets unsold, but still classed as a 60k sell out.

Cmon mate, if @EverTheOptimist says its true it must be. Ive never known anyone with such an indepth of knowledge, from how the top clubs across Europe run their business, their football strategy and and management styles. He has a magnitude of knowledge about so many topics in life its unreal, Ive said it before, he is wasted on here ;)
