Depends, i can never remember exactly how it works but i think for instance if the Lyon player who scored had encroached then the correct decision would be indirect free kick to Nice, not a retake so maybe that?

Or just being footballers and complaining for the sake of it

It was only Nice players encroaching the penalty so I figured the ref would skip the re-take and let the goal stand.

Just had a look around and someone said players from both teams encroached which would make sense, but presumably the Nice players were trying to claim only Lyon players did.

I guess you could just as easily say it's a good day at the office for Lyon, though.
