It's not so much that Premier League pitches are super smooth, the roll, the bounce, even your footing when you run is different.
I hate it when Everton play these games, always worry we will lose a player to a turned ankle

No, but they did get relegated that season. This would be Moyes’ biggest embarrassment as a manager as I don’t think Preston got knocked out by non league sides during his time there
