It doesn’t matter if you’re one of the 14 other clubs in the league. Closely controlled ‘competition’ between the top 6 (ensuring Liverpool and United fans remain engaged all season) is the only thing the prem are interested in. Shafting Palace wouldn’t have troubled them for a single second. Teams have gone down on the back of their refereeing agendas and they’ve not cared less.
