It’s non invite as all 55 member nations take part. It offers an extra route to get to the Euros depending on how you do in both this and the actual qualifiers

The next season of this will have an impact on the 2022 World Cup as well with the two best Nations League group winners based on rankings who don’t finish in the top two of their WC qualifier group go into a 12 team play off with the 10 group runners up

Tbf Lookman was only on penalties because Mitrovic missed one at Sheffield United. I always remembered Mitrovic as an average striker who gave you problems when he had his days. This season he looks a shambles. Weird one.

Reality is if you cant beat Slovakia at home, then you don't deserve to go to a tournament. The game was there to be won and we couldn't do it. Sickener

No the games that had been played in September and October and are getting played this weekend/next midweek were always scheduled to be played as were. The finals for this would have been played next summer which is now going to be Euro 2020. The Euro playoffs were meant to have been played when COVID hit back in March, that was based on the Euro qualifiers and the 2018/19 Nations League

I guess the true winners here are UEFA.
North Macedonia for the first time ever, and Scotland for the first time in 23 years means the Nations League is a success, and I must admit, thoroughly enjoyed it so far.
