The balance seems to have gone from their squad completely. Kompany and Silva were huge players for them and, even though they coped ok without him, Sane would massively improve their team.

Probably forgetting an obvious one or two, but not been convinced by any of their signings for a while.

Same goes for the clear daylight idea. When it is really close to "daylight" then you still have close calls that piss everyone off. People just whine to whine.

while I've no sympathy for last weekends events, I do think they should just draw one line at the defenders appropriate extremity & if an offside is still inconclusive at that stage, the advantage should be given to the attacker

Never fails to annoy me that whenever we are in Europe we run into Villarreal just a s hey are brilliant, Standard Liege with half the Belgian team in it, Benfica with an amazing team, Atalanta when they were getting good, Lyon just as they burst on the scene. Yes we played terribly at times but some of those sides were very very strong and that was in the europa league. A season after we met most of those they were in the latter stages of the CL.

Yet any time you turn on the CL these days and watch any of the English teams I. The group stages they’re invariably up against some absolute tosh who look terrible and even just getting into second gear is enough to see them off. Honestly most of the CL groups look embarassing this season.
