I think it's meaningless this season. West ham and Southampton are not easy games.

Barkley is an outfield Pickford though - when he does something out of reflex, its fantastic. When he has to think about it - as he did in those three one-on-ones against the RS - he usually messes up.

Villa could easily keep the pace - they've got a good manager, Watkins is a fantastic forward and in Grealish - Barkley - McGinn they have a very good midfield. The way they are playing they could beat anyone.

Their fans have had a rough few years, don’t begrudge them some happiness and would prefer them to be in top places than a lot of the other usual clubs

Villa look good - Martinez and Barkley have really pushed them on. Saying that 2 of their games have been the bums of Fulham/Sheff Utd and they caught RS and Leicester with Mane & Vardy both out.

Wish we had signed that Martinez proper top keeper.

That's true. He's also very inconsistent like Pickford. Right now he's doing well, but I'd be amazed if he keeps it up.

You would think so but who would have thought Villa would win 4 from 4,Villa fans probably expected 4 wins in about the 1st 15 games lol ,its the strange season that is the premier league

In answer to my own Question, it took villa 13 games to win 4 games last season - they have 5 wins from 1st 20 games

Amount of teams that have been scoring 90+ minute goals this season is crazy - WHU and Saints also scored them (add in the RS winner chalked off).

Think to win a lot of games this year comfortable enough you'll need to have a 2 goal cushion going into the final few minutes - especially with Pickford in net

They have Utd and Chelsea over xmas and still have to squeeze in the City fixture somewhere
