I agree. Nobody wants to be funding some aspiring championship clubs promotion push. But some kind of fund to keep struggling but well run clubs liquid seems reasonable as part of a football pyramid.

I don't think for the supporters and communities of these club the state of ownership matters in an analysis of whether they are worth saving.

But I'm suggesting moving beyond that and realizing that giving these idiots somewhat of a pass is a necessary evil in saving the clubs that benefit the communities. I also don't think it has to be structured as a free pass but that is a different topic.
