I feel this way. What a terrifically poorly ran club we are.

...at football we are not so good...but football is a secondary consideration: we are a family club and no time of the year brings families together closer than Christmas. And Everton puts on a very good Blue Chrimbo. This year the lads are all practising their parts for a Chrimbo pantomime take on Gilbert and Sulluvan’s The Mikado. So small teams like Leicester can have their occasional wins on the footie field...who cares?...we are a giant club with players who love putting on a good Xmas panto. Our club knows priorities...and stupid titles and trophies are not top priority...we are so lucky Blue Bill has instilled a love of theatre in our brave, brave lionhearts.

It’s something of a cleft stick wherein we find ourselves, isn’t it?. If West Ham lose, so do we because of performance pressure. Furthermore, we will play awful footie with barely two passes being able to be strung together. Under the merest hint of pressure, our financially struggling, brave lionhearts crumble like short pastry .
So, do we want West Ham to win then? Well, yes actually. Because then our lionhearts will feel unpressured. They will still likely lose (because it’s Sheffield...and ‘Everton that’...) but at least our lionhearts might be able to show glimpses of quality eg successfully passing a ball forward to a team mate!!
So, bottom line? C’mon West Ham!!
