Their fans wanted them to pay Wor Rafael £12m a year to get exactly the same results but at least they’d be able to tell everyone they had a world class manager who was being hamstrung by the board. Well Ashley’s just took a monumental cream pie to their collective faces and said, no lads you’re alright, I will save my club £8-10m per annum and the hassle of some fat Spanish idiot complaining to the press every week about not being given £200m to spend and we’ll still limp to 13th.
