They’ve got a prime Wenger sized hole.
Wenger qualified for the CL for sbout 999 consecutive years, Arteta's ambition may be to keep Arsenal in the top division in consecutive years.

Massive difference, noone can think Arteta is anything like as competent as Wenger was and for so long too. Wenger was there while they were spending on building the Emirates stadium which necessarily constrained spending on transfers.

Would be harsh to sack a manager who won an fa cup for them less than 12 months later. Yeah they have been poor in the league and most likely will not play in Europe next season but he should be given time to change it around. Carlo started at the same time as arteta and has won less trophies and is only 1 position higher in the table and we are saying that he should be given more time.

Think the difference between us and Arsenal is that Arteta started from a higher platform than Ancelotti and has underperformed quite considerably, so naturally he'll be under more pressure.

They've won loads more stuff than us recently? also have a better squad. They're only a 'laughing stock' now compared to how they used to be, which was a borderline elite team.
They have been on a massive decline for the past 4 years since the last season of wengers reign

Artetas fa cup win came during a season of massive turmoil when aubamayengs contract was due to expire. He should be lauded for that especially beating Man City and Chelsea.

I can see arsenals future being spookily similar to ours after all the success we had in the 80s to our last fa cup win in 95 and then being completely barren ever since

I know it used to host semi finals etc but Villa Park doesnt seem like a CL final tier venue

Put it on hold till our new one gets built or got to Wembeley

It’s not even close to CL final standard but it’s the largest and most convenient neutral ground in the UK. It makes sense to me.
Millennium Stadium is the place you're thinking of.

But this whole issue is a non-starter, zero desire in UEFA to move their showpiece. Pandemic considerations aside, if it was played in the UK it would just feel like a Carabao Cup Final anyway
