City would not have won nearly the amount the did if Messi or Ronaldo was in England. That's what happens if someone that isn't them buys Mbappe. I'm not sure Haaland is that level but he might end up like Suarez or Lewandowski level and you still don't want to face that.
And that's without considering what happens to Europe. I mean if Mbappe knocks 3 or 4 in over two legs they'll start seeing how close to 200m they can get.

With respect to Kane both of those players are having seasons above his best season at extremely young ages.
He's out of contract after next season so could well be available on a free. Doubt anyone pays £200m+ this summer given the financial situation
