Yip... The first seven matches when we were top of the table and playing with swagger we were playing with our first choice 11.

After that, we lost all our momentum when we had to start chopping and changing our teams... And we still haven't recovered from it in my opinion.

It wouldn’t have been his first option had Gomes not been injured early on. Let’s not forget either that James is just back from missing several games with a persistent calf problem

Of course its been a long term problem but we are where we are. Right now we do not run enough or show enough energy. I dont see many players leave the pitch really tired too often. I'm fully behind Ancelotti and the long term process but I don't like this version of Everton that much

Most of our players can’t run. Even if they put effort in, which a lot dont, the likes of Keane Mina Kenny Davies Siggurdson Gomes Bernard are the slowest players in the league. They can’t cover the ground required to press opponents to force mistakes. That’s why we have to sit deep and teams can dominate possession agaisnt us. It’s the only way we can win until we have more players like Godfrey Doucoure Allan who can cover ground and get about people. Fortunately Carlo knows this and sets us up so that limitation isnt exposed rather than pretending we can play a way we can’t.
