Tough decision. But that shows how the VAR system doesn't use cameras with high enough framerates for slow-motion playback. As a result, the motion meant the frames were so blurry and impossible to decisively tell which players' foot actually got the touch on the ball.
Its the same problem for offsides where the margin is so tight that the error can be down to where the operator thinks the ball is kicked. These cameras aren't fast enough.
With the money in football, you'd think they'd get the best tech available.
