I couldn't care how boring we play providing we get success mate - after watching the entertainers of Martinez and Silva play nice football delivering no results would take Jose ball and a trophy any day of the week.

But winning playing decent football doesn't also stop you winning trophies.

Klopp, Guardiola aside no other manager in the Prem currently has won anything playing decent footie.

It’s amazing how reasonable our fans on here actually are considering we have put up with far far worse than Spurs fans recently yet haven’t seemed to have ever got that vitriolic about players and managers. The swear filter probably helps ha.

But it's always been a Mourinho tactic, get in front then shut up shop. Just in the past he had amazing sides where they would be super tight but such a massive threat up top with a variety of attacking options.

He'll never be a flamboyant all out attack type of manager, I'm sure Levy knew exactly what he was getting. What he'll be hoping Mourinho does is get them in the CL season in, season out and pick up a trophy or two along the way.

You're probably right about him. But I meant the thing that this Spur fan said, is quite fair to us too. In some games, we were clearly doing the same thing - have a minimum advantage and closing up, and that worries me.

That's true but Palace aren't playing well so I think the case can be made they've not dropped off as much. Leicester are clearly playing backups.

I'm hoping anyway.

If I was Palace manager I'd have made 11 changes. They were hopeless on boxing day. Not sure it will be just rotation from them

The congested schedule needs looking at...Reduce teams in the PL to 18...get rid of the league cup and limit PL games to 30 (seed the teams each season so top teams don’t play the bottom teams twice)

Never reduce the league, hate it when we dont play, dont want to play even less, then end up having more England games as that is a cert that would happen
