Sets up to be another year where the club winning the League Cup is a consistent European qualifying team and yet people still sit here every September and talk about how this is our best chance to win something. I don't really get it. It is just as hard.

Any idea why PSG have sacked Tuchel?

Well, after the CL final appearance they did not extend his contract, so they were considering a move as recently as the summer.

He did himself no favors with the interview this week (whether his story of what happened is accurate is another question), but PSG likely didn't come to an agreement with Pochettino overnight. Tuchel is not running away with the league as expected either, but that doesn't explain why his contract wasn't extended.

We're not ever likely to fully understand why, but it seems clear enough that something was wrong behind the scenes.

Poch makes sense, typically PSG go for ex-players (8 of last 12 have been ex-Players I believe?), as managers.

Got to assume the reason he's gone now, is so Pochettino can use 2-week break to get players working for him.

But we didn't play those tactics, we moved from 4 X centre backs to 3 and an attacking wingback with Davies replaced by Gomes

Cos they finally realised what a poisonous character he is? I do not follow French football, but Tuchel getting sack is never the biggest surprise to me. There is always so much going on under the surface.
