There classed as a bigger club then us despite the fact they haven’t won a trophy for 50 years and they are a 1 team city, been relegated twice in recent years and havnt finished top half forever

Remember when they came back up 1993. They were getting hyped up and seen as a glamour club. Far more than Everton. Even though it was on six years since we last won the league.
Think the last big thing they won was a UEFA Cup in the late 60s. You'd have to approaching your mid-70s to remember them winning anything domestically.

Can see us needing to beat United then City then Spurs instead knowing our luck.

Well we knocked out decent Newcastle and Spurs sides in 1995. Also beat the best team in the country in the final.

As for 2009, knocked out the RS, Villa and United. Our luck to have a bloody quality Chelsea team in the final. But Everton can beat the big teams when in matters. Just sometimes need a bit of luck too.

No, I agree. Even when we do well, it's often the hardest way.
1991 was a bit of a bugger too. Knock out a quality RS side in a great battle. Then go out to a piddling Division 2 West Ham side in the next round.
